Republic Psychiatry Southlake is currently providing the option of in-person or remote appointments (see below).

PAYMENT INFORMATION:

Dr. Patel and Dr. Ostadian are not contracted with any insurance companies including Medicare or Medicaid - we are considered "out-of-network" or "private pay" providers. Office charges are due in full on the date of service.  A "superbill" document for in-person or telemedicine visits can be provided directly to the patient upon request, if the patient would like to request potential partial reimbursement from the insurance company after the visit.  Please contact your insurance company in advance if you are interested in finding out whether they provide any out-of-network coverage, whether there's a deductible, etc.  Please also note that, as we are opted out of Medicare, patients will not receive reimbursement from Medicare even with a superbill. Republic Psychiatry Southlake does not directly interface with the insurance companies about billing matters.

We request that patients remain up to date with their balances as we do not use an external billing agency.  Payments may be made by cash, check, or credit card.

TELEMEDICINE:

Republic Psychiatry Southlake provides the option of telemedicine services (which allow for remote treatment through video conferencing software, similar to FaceTime or Skype). In light of COVID-19, telemedicine use has expanded and is currently permissible for new patient appointments as well as ongoing follow-up appointments. Requirements for periodic in-person appointments may apply in the future. Telemedicine appointments are conducted through a free and simple HIPAA-compliant website (no download required). Charges for telemedicine appointments are the same as they are for in-person office visits, and are collected prior to the session. The patient would need to be in a private setting for their appointment, with a device that has Internet access and a functioning camera.
